DAY 1:    RACV HEALESVILLE COUNTRY CLUB, 122 Healesville-Kinglake Rd, Healesville.

DAY 2:    Field Day - Strawberry Springs, Milgrove and Sanders Orchards, Three Bridges
The annual Victorian Cherry Conference for 2015 will be held in the scenic town of Healesville this year. The conference is open to all cherry growers and those interested in supporting the cherry industry. 

The conference has been designed to learn from the past season and be ready to change and adapt to the future. The program this year features formal presentations from industry specialists, the return of the very popular Q & A style forum and the opportunity to attend two orchard walks on day 2.

Some of the presenters this year include:

  • Susan Finger - The future of HIA: and Overview.
  • Tony Filippi, FGVL's Industry Development Manager
  • Penny Meesham & Dugald Close  - TIA (Tasmania Institute of Agriculture)

ABARES 2015 Regional Outlook Conferences

Join ABARES at a Regional Outlook conference in your area in 2015

The ABARES Regional Outlook conferences are one-day events and are an opportunity to hear from ABARES researchers, local producers, industry representatives and business people, and discuss issues relevant to your region.

Registration is free of charge but pre-conference enrolment is essential. Each conference program includes forecasts for key agricultural commodities, an economic overview, weather and climate trends, local challenges such as labour and water issues and case studies from innovative regional businesses.

Delegates include producers and growers, bankers, consultants, regional development and NRM agencies, local business owners, state and local government staff and many others with an interest in the future of their region.

The Regional Outlook conferences follow from the national Outlook 2015 conference in March with its theme of The business of agriculture: producing for profit.
