ALL trade tariffs on horticultural products exported to China will be eliminated under the new China free-trade agreement.
Nuts, fruit, vegetables and wine will have trade tariffs reduced over the next four years, and citrus over the next eight years.
KEY OUTCOMES:
• Wine — elimination of the 14 to 20 per cent tariffs within four years.
• Macadamia nuts, almonds, walnuts, pistachios and all other nuts — elimination of the 10 to 25 per cent tariffs within four years.
• Oranges, mandarins, lemons and all other citrus fruit — elimination of the 11 to 30 per cent tariffs within eight years.
• All other fruit — elimination of the 10 to 30 per cent tariffs within four years.
• Vegetables — elimination of the 10 to 13 per cent tariffs within four years.
